GIVE. Read the tab at the top of the main page. That’s the tab I call “givers Get”.
Reread it. It is that important. It’s obvious - so often our thinking is programmed Upside Down. So why is it difficult for people to get that … “givers Get”? …
Trust me - it is a tough one. But we have to start with it. So - we’re just going to take a baby step here.
If you don’t feel that it is tough to give first - you might be one of the very rare - naturally blessed, generous people on this earth. If you are like the rest of us - it can be hard to reconcile - even though every four year old even knows why Santa works so hard all year just to give toys to all the good boys and girls. He wants to give. Children understand that. Of course - they sure do like to get - but they can easily see the truth for what it is. And at least they can understand the act of giving first.
I’m not kidding. My seven year old wanted a shiny rock his four year old brother found in a creek recently. I saw it. It was a nice rock. John asked and Matt gave it over - no problem - no questions asked. Harmony.
(It doesn’t always go that way - in case you think we’re wierd - but this time it did. And I noticed.)
What did John do next? He said, “Matt, I want you to have my Bat Computer”. I was in awe. So was Matt. He has coveted John’s Bat computer for as long as he could move - trying to to get his hands on it even a minute.
John gave it over permanently. Matt was the big winner and he had no idea it was going to go that way for him when he held that rock and willingly surrendered it. There’s a big lesson there.
Most older people are programmed to think Upside Down. They don’t understand how things can work when we give without looking for something straight back. That is why is spend a lot of time on this. Check out the givers GET tab on this site - its about neither you nor me. Go read it, then…
